Yakitori Skewers

Ingredients

1 kg chicken thighs
125 ml sake
125 ml rice wine
175 ml dark soy sauce
2 tbs sugar
1 red pepper
1 bunch of spring onions
wooden skewers

Instructions

  1. Soften the skewers in water for 15 min.
  2. Mix the sake, wine, soy sauce and sugar and briefly bring to the boil.
  3. Cut the chicken, pepper and spring onions into bite-sized pieces and skewer.
  4. Barbecue the skewers in foil for around 8 min., brushing them with the sauce and turning them until the chicken is cooked.
