Chicken with Mushroom Mustard Sauce

Servings: 4

Ingredients

500 g chicken breasts
1 onion
500 g white button mushrooms
1 clove of garlic
1 tbs oil
200 ml dry white wine (just over 3/4 cup)
4 tsp cream cheese
2 tsp hot mustard
salt and pepper
rice
1 tbs chopped parsley

Instructions

  1. Wash and tenderise the chicken.
  2. Dice the onion. Cut the mushrooms and garlic into thin slices.
  3. Sauté the onion in a pan with oil.
  4. Add the mushrooms and garlic and fry.
  5. Push everything to the edge of the pan and cook the chicken on both sides all the way through.
  6. Mix everything together and heat again.
  7. Deglaze with white wine and reduce the wine a little.
  8. Add cream cheese, mustard, salt and pepper, mix well and bring to the boil again.
  9. Cook the rice and serve everything with parsley.
