Potato Gratin

Ingredients

1 kg floury potatoes
1 clove of garlic
1 onion
250 ml milk (1 cup)
250 ml cream (1 cup)
salt, pepper, thyme, nutmeg
butter
grated cheese

Instructions

  1. Peel the potatoes and slice thinly.
  2. Finely chop the garlic and onion.
  3. Mix together the milk, cream, garlic, onion, salt, pepper, thyme and nutmeg in a pot. Slowly bring the potatoes to boil in the pot.
  4. Simmer for 15 min., stirring well all the while.
  5. Grease an oven dish with butter and fill with the mixture.
  6. Sprinkle with cheese.
  7. Bake at 220°C, 430°F or gas 7 for around 15-18 min.
