Almond Crackles

Ingredients

100 g slivered almonds
100 g chocolate
25 g vegetable shortening
1 tsp vanilla essence
1 tsp mixed spice

Instructions

  1. Lightly roast the almonds in a pan.
  2. Melt the chocolate and palm fat in a double boiler. Stir in the almonds, vanilla and spices.
  3. Place small mounds on sheets of baking paper or in cupcake papers and refrigerate to set.
