Chocolate Biscuits

Ingredients

150 g butter (at room temperature)
175 g sugar
1 tsp vanilla essence
1 egg white
175 g flour
1 tsp baking powder
150 g chocolate, roughly broken
100 g chopped hazelnuts

Instructions

  1. Cream butter, sugar and vanilla.
  2. Stir in the egg white.
  3. Combine flour and baking powder before stirring in.
  4. Fold in the chocolate and hazelnuts.
  5. Use your hands to form a dough.
  6. Shape into small biscuits (teaspoon-sized), ensuring they are well spaced.
  7. Bake at 160°C, 320°F or gas 3 until golden.
