Cinnamon Stars

Ingredients

3 egg whites
1/2 tsp lemon juice
100 g icing sugar
125 g ground hazelnuts
125 g ground almonds
1 tsp cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Beat egg whites with the lemon juice until stiff.
  2. Set aside 4 tablespoons for the glaze.
  3. For the dough, slowly stir the sugar into the beaten egg whites until dissolved.
  4. Add hazelnuts, almonds and cinnamon. Leave to rest in the refrigerator for 1 hour.
  5. Roll out the dough, cut into stars and brush with the glaze.
  6. Bake at 150°C, 300°F or gas 3 for 10 min.
