Walnut Muffins

Ingredients

100 g walnuts
200 g flour
100 g sugar
1/4 tsp vanilla paste or 1 tsp vanilla essence
3 tsp baking powder
1 egg
100 g butter (at room temperature)
200 ml milk
100 ml maple syrup
icing sugar to decorate
a few walnuts to decorate

Instructions

  1. Coarsely chop the walnuts and combine all ingredients.
  2. Spoon into muffin pans.
  3. Bake at 180°C, 350°F or gas 4 for around 20-25 minutes. Check with a skewer to see if they are done.
  4. Decorate with walnut pieces and icing sugar before serving.
