Wok-Fried Beef with Broccoli

Servings: 4

Ingredients

500 g beef
500 g broccoli
2 cloves of garlic
4 tbs cornflour
8 tbs soy sauce
1 tsp freshly grated ginger
2 onions
3 tbs peanut oil
2 tsp brown sugar
rice

Instructions

  1. Finely chop the garlic and mix with 2 tbs cornflour, 4 tbs soy sauce and ginger.
  2. Slice the beef and marinate in the mixture for 30 min.
  3. Wash the broccoli and cut into bite-sized portions.
  4. Slice the onions.
  5. Sear the meat for 3 min. in a wok with 1 tbs oil and set aside.
  6. Add the rest of the oil to the wok and cook the onions and broccoli for around 5 min. They should still be tender but firm to the bite.
  7. Add the meat, 350 ml water, sugar, 2 tbs cornflour and 4 tbs soy sauce and cook until the sauce begins to thicken.
  8. Serve with rice.
