Almond Butter Cake

Ingredients

250 g butter (at room temperature)
200 g sugar
2 tsp vanilla essence
6 eggs
300 g flour
2 tsp baking powder
2 tbs sugar
8 tbs milk
100 g flaked almonds

Instructions

  1. Cream butter, sugar and vanilla.
  2. Add the eggs one at a time.
  3. Combine flour and baking powder separately before stirring in.
  4. Pour mixture into a greased cake tin.
  5. Stir 2 tbs sugar into the milk and pour over the cake mixture.
  6. Sprinkle with flaked almonds.
  7. Bake at 175˚C, 350˚F or gas 4 for 15 min.
