Baked Cheesecake

Ingredients

Base:
200 g flour
100 g sugar
1 tsp baking powder
1 egg
75 g butter (at room temperature)
1 tsp vanilla essence
Filling:
150 g sugar
1 kg quark
500 ml milk
2 eggs
100 ml sunflower oil
1 tsp lemon juice
3 1/2 tbs custard powder

Instructions

  1. Work flour, 100 g sugar and baking powder with 1 egg and the butter to form a pastry dough.
  2. Refrigerate pastry for 45 min.
  3. Press into a springform cake tin.
  4. For the filling, combine 150 g sugar, quark, milk, 2 eggs, oil, vanilla, lemon juice and custard powder. Transfer to the base in the tin.
  5. Bake at 170°C, 340°F or gas 3 for 60 min.
  6. Allow cake to cool before removing from tin and then refrigerate for several hours.
