Beef and Vegetable Wok

Servings: 4

Ingredients

2 tbs soy sauce
1 tbs sherry
1 tsp sugar
2 tsp cornflour
400 g beefsteak
200 g broccoli
1 red bell pepper
2 shallots
2 cm fresh ginger
2 garlic cloves
50 ml water
canola oil

Instructions

  1. Cut the meat into strips.
  2. Combine soy sauce, sherry, sugar and cornflour to make a marinade. Marinate the meat for 30 minutes.
  3. Cook in a wok or pan with oil.
  4. Remove the meat and set aside.
  5. Break up the broccoli florets and wash.
  6. Cut the pepper into strips.
  7. Finely chop the shallots, ginger and garlic.
  8. Add a bit more oil to the wok and fry the broccoli.
  9. Add the rest of the vegetables and fry for another 2 minutes.
  10. Add water, cover and then keep simmering until the broccoli is cooked.
  11. Return the meat to the pan and briefly heat up.
