Gyros Pita

Ingredients

200 g pork, veal or turkey schnitzel
pita bread
tzatziki
1 tomato
1/2 cucumber
lettuce
Marinade:
1 tbs olive oil
1 1/2 tbs lemon juice
1/2 oregano sprig
1/2 thyme sprig
salt
1 clove of garlic

Instructions

  1. For the marinade, mix olive oil, lemon juice, oregano, thyme, salt and crushed garlic in a bowl.
  2. Cut the meat into fine strips, place in the marinade, cover and leave to absorb flavours for 30 min.
  3. Fry in oil until crispy.
  4. Place in pita with tzatziki, adding a lettuce leaf and a few tomato and cucumber slices.
