Kebab Burgers

Ingredients

500 g lamb off the leg (no bone)
4 hamburger buns
2 tomatoes
1 onion
1 lettuce
Marinade:
1 onion
1 clove of garlic
3 tbs olive oil
2 tbs lemon juice
1 tsp oregano
1 tsp thyme
1 tsp pul biber (or chilli powder)
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp cumin
salt and pepper
Sauce:
250 ml buttermilk (1 cup)
250 ml Greek yoghurt (1 cup)
125 ml crème fraîche (1/2 cup)
2 cloves of garlic
salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Cut the meat into thin strips.
  2. For the marinade, finely chop a garlic clove and an onion. Mix together with the oil, lemon juice, oregano, thyme, pul biber, paprika, cumin, salt and pepper.
  3. Marinate the meat in the mixture for 4 hours in the refrigerator.
  4. For the sauce, combine buttermilk, yoghurt, crème fraîche, 2 crushed garlic cloves, salt and pepper, mix well and leave to sit for the flavours to infuse.
  5. Cook the meat all the way through in a pan with oil.
  6. Slice the tomatoes and the other onion. Wash the lettuce and warm the bread in the oven.
  7. Fill the buns with all the ingredients.
