Hummus with Pine Nuts

Ingredients

400 g tinned chickpeas
2 cloves of garlic
3 tbs tahini (sesame paste)
3 tbs olive oil
3 tbs lemon juice
1/2 tsp ground cumin
2 tbs pine nuts
salt
pita

Instructions

  1. Wash the chickpeas in a sieve and hang to dry (or prepare dried chickpeas according to the directions)
  2. Cut the garlic into fine pieces.
  3. Blend the chickpeas, garlic, tahini, 2 tbs olive oil, lemon juice and 2 tbs water in a food processor.
  4. Season with salt and cumin.
  5. Garnish with a few drops of olive oil and pine nuts.
  6. Serve with fresh pita.
