Pea and Chicken Pasta with Pesto

Ingredients

Pesto:
30 g pine nuts
2 garlic cloves
1 bunch of basil
75 g parmesan
125 ml olive oil
salt and pepper
Pasta:
400 g chicken
1 tbs olive oil
150 g frozen peas
400 g pasta (e.g. fusilli)

Instructions

  1. To make the pesto, lightly toast the pine nuts in a pan and allow to cool.
  2. Finely chop the garlic.
  3. Pestle both together in a mortar.
  4. Add basil and pestle again.
  5. Add parmesan and olive oil and mix well.
  6. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Wash the chicken, cut into bite-sized pieces and salt.
  8. Cook in a pan with oil.
  9. Add the peas and heat up a little.
  10. Cook the pasta and mix everything together well.
