Spaghetti with Tomato and Tuna Sauce

Servings: 4

Ingredients

1 tsp oil
1 large onion
1 tbs tomato paste
a pinch of sugar
1 clove of garlic
200 g tinned tuna (in oil)
400 g tinned chopped tomatoes
50 g processed cheese
2 tbs cream
vegetable stock
basil
200 g spaghetti
salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Dice the onion and fry in a pan with oil.
  2. Add tomato paste and sugar and cook briefly.
  3. Finely cut the garlic and add to the pan along with the tomatoes.
  4. Add 1/2 cup of vegetable stock and simmer a little.
  5. Add tuna, processed cheese and cream.
  6. Bring to the boil, and add salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Cook the spaghetti and serve with the sauce. Garnish with basil.
