Tagliatelle al Ragu

Ingredients

400 g beef mince
500 g tagliatelle
1 Italian sausage
400 g tinned tomatoes
2 tbs tomato paste
1 carrot
1 celery stalk
1 onion
250 ml red wine (1 cup)
1 bay leaf
250 ml milk (1 cup)
olive oil
salt
Parmesan

Instructions

  1. Remove the sausage skin and cut into rough pieces.
  2. Cut the carrot, celery and onion into small pieces.
  3. Sauté everything in a pan with oil.
  4. Add mince and cook.
  5. Add tomato paste and season with salt and pepper.
  6. Deglaze with red wine.
  7. Add tomatoes and the bay leaf, reduce everything for 2 hours, gradually adding the milk during this time.
  8. Cook the pasta and serve with the sauce and Parmesan.
