Brie and Cranberry Burgers

Servings: 4

Ingredients

For the sauce:
50 g cranberries
25 g brown sugar
100 g cooking apples
35 ml water
1/2 tsp orange zest
For the rest:
500 g beef mince
salt, pepper, paprika
4 hamburger buns
1 lettuce
1 onion
8 slices of brie

Instructions

  1. For the sauce, soak the cranberries in water with sugar.
  2. Peel and core the apples. Dice very finely and add.
  3. Simmer on a medium heat for at least 20 minutes.
  4. Purée with a stick blender.
  5. Add the zested orange peel and reduce further according to preference.
  6. Allow to cool.
  7. Season the mince, knead and shape into patties.
  8. Cook in a pan or on a barbecue.
  9. Toast the hamburger buns.
  10. Wash the lettuce.
  11. Slice the onion into rings.
  12. Fill each bun with lettuce, a patty, onion rings, two slices of brie and sauce.
