Fish Burgers

Ingredients

2 hamburger buns
300 g fish fillets (e.g. white fish, plaice...)
1 lemon
2 tbs flour
1 egg
4 tbs breadcrumb mix
3 tbs butter
1 iceberg lettuce
1 tomato
1 onion
tartare sauce (or mayonnaise)

Instructions

  1. Drizzle lemon juice over the fish fillets and season with salt and pepper.
  2. Prepare 3 dishes: one with flour, one with whisked egg, and one with breadcrumb mix.
  3. Coat the fish fillets in the flour, egg and then the breadcrumb mix, lightly pressing on the coating as you go.
  4. Heat the butter and fry the fillets on each side.
  5. Toast the buns in the oven for around 2 min. at 200°C, 390°F or gas 6.
  6. Fill the buns with fish, salad, onion rings, tomato slices and tartare sauce.
  7. Goes well with a side of chips.
