Chilli Burgers

Ingredients

For the sauce:
6 tbs mayonnaise
2 tbs tomato sauce
1 tbs ajvar (paprika paste)
1 tsp Dijon mustard
1 tbs crème fraîche
1/2 tsp ground paprika
1 small red chilli
2 tbs lime juice
For the rest:
500 g beef mince
salt, pepper, paprika
4 hamburger buns
1 lettuce
1 onion
1 tomato
2 gherkins

Instructions

  1. Combine all sauce ingredients in a blender.
  2. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour to soak in the flavours.
  3. Season the mince, knead and shape into patties.
  4. Cook in a pan or on a barbecue.
  5. Toast the hamburger buns.
  6. Wash the lettuce.
  7. Slice the onion into rings.
  8. Slice the tomato.
  9. Slice the gherkins.
  10. Fill each bun with lettuce, a patty, sauce, tomato slices, onion rings, and gherkins.
